Local Building Supply Company / Access Control Technician
Pay: $28/hour+ depending on experience
Hours: Monday - Friday 8-5
Job Duties/Requirements:
- Assist with estimating access control projects by reviewing plans, specifications, and scope documents
- Support the estimating team in developing accurate and competitive pricing packages for customers
- Provide internal IT and technology support, including troubleshooting computer systems, software, and related technology issues
- Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for streamlining processes and improving efficiency across departments
- Occasionally assist with field work related to access control systems, including light hand-tool use when needed
- Support customer training efforts, primarily through local or day-trip travel
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with internal teams and customers
Qualifications:- Strong background in IT, computer systems, networking, or related technical work
- Experience with access control systems is a plus, but willingness to learn is equally important
- Comfortable reviewing technical plans and specifications
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues independently
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with managers and team members
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable with occasional hands-on work using basic hand tools
