Building Attendant: Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be capable of performing normal functions, including climbing stairs, balancing, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying objects up to 35 pounds in weight.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively and courteously with residents, guests, and other visitors in the building, and deal with possible hostile and/or confronting situations in a controlled, collective manner.
- Must be detail oriented and have good documentation skills.
- Must be able to pass background screening and drug testing.
Building Attendants shifts are unsupervised, this position requires the ability to follow instructions and directions of supervisor and perform duties independently and explicitly, without direct personal supervision.
Job Description
- Building Attendants report to and are directly responsible to the Business Director.
- The primary responsibility Building Attendant, individually, and collectively, is to ensure the safety and security of all residents, guest of residents, and outside visitors on property.
- The Building Attendant is required to be neat in appearance, and practice good public relations protocol when dealing with residents, guests, and other visitors.
- Rules and regulations are to be enforced in a firm, non-confrontational and courteous manner.
- Building Attendants are required to work with Housekeeping and Maintenance to ensure specific duties are carried out to completion.
