RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use computer-style operator station to control CNC plasma cutter

• Load and unload the burning table using the overhead crane or forklift

• Remove cut parts from the table, label parts with marker, stack on pallets or place in bins, and ensure timely delivery to the next department as required

• Examine cuts visually or by hand to verify quality and accuracy, and follow procedures when defective parts are discovered

• Set up plasma with proper cutting gases, and change out plasma cutting heads for different materials

• Use hand operated manual plasma cutter to reduce size of scrap steel -

• Troubleshoot malfunctions and inform supervisor of problems and malfunctions that occur

• Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements following manufacturer’s instructions
  
  REQUIREMENTS

• 1+ years of experience operating industrial machinery, in a manufacturing environment

•  Experience with basic hand tools, tape measure

•  Mechanical aptitude

•  Ability to frequently lift without restriction

• Computer literate

•  Ability to write legibly

•  Basic math skills required (add, subtract, divide and multiply)

• Must have valid driver’s license, and willing to become forklift certified

• Experience operating any CNC machine (CNC plasma experience even better)

•  Familiar with process of cutting metal using plasma cutter or cutting torch

•  Able to read/interpret blue prints
