Job Duties:

• Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key customers and prospective clients.
• Maintain a high level of responsiveness in all customer communications, ensuring inquiries and issues are handled promptly and professionally.
• Communicate frequently with production, scheduling, and quality teams to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and met.
• Provide and maintain a rolling 6-month sales forecast, keeping it up to date based on customer projections and order trends.
• Input customer purchase orders accurately and completely into the company’s ERP or order management system.
• Create internal work orders for production, ensuring all details—including materials, lead times, and special requirements—are clearly defined.
• Track order progress and proactively communicate order status, changes, or delays to customers.
• Collaborate with production to balance workload and forecast demand for upcoming jobs.
• Identify opportunities to grow business with existing customers through additional services, new capabilities, or improved delivery performance.
• Learn and adapt to client behaviors, trends, and product mix by demonstrating a working knowledge of the core business of their client.
• Support management in achieving company sales and profitability goals.
• Other tasks or needs may be required determinant on business climate.

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or customer service. Experience in machine shop, metal fabrication, or a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Working knowledge of machining processes, materials, and production workflows.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to develop accurate sales forecasts and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
