Starting Pay: $14/hr. 

An optician interprets eyeglass prescriptions written by an optometrist or ophthalmologist. They assist in selecting frames based on each customer’s prescription and lifestyle and measure the customer’s face and eyes to ensure proper fit of eyewear. Skills acquired would enable the optician to ensure that finished lenses were ground to specifications and check that the eyewear fits properly. This is a challenging and rewarding job that requires strong people skills and excellent time management ability. Attention to detail and follow-through to completion of service is very important to maintain customer loyalty and satisfaction. Opticians perform a variety of tasks. A degree of creativity and latitude is required. We are considered to be a high end, boutique style optical gallery and knowledge/awareness of fashion and trends is a plus.

The applicant must be very professional in appearance as our office is a conservative, upscale medical environment. 

Office hours are 8:00 to 5:30 Monday through Friday.
