Job Duties:

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair damaged or salvaged vehicles and equipment.
• Dismantle vehicles and salvage usable parts for repair, resale, or recycling.
• Rebuild engines, transmissions, and other major mechanical systems as needed.
• Conduct repairs on electrical, brake, steering, and suspension systems.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Ensure that all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
• Perform quality checks on salvaged parts to determine usability or need for replacement.
• Collaborate with other team members to assess repair needs and prioritize tasks.
• Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and labor time for each job.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with experience working in a salvage or auto repair shop.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and mechanical components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and determine effective repair solutions.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures when working with vehicles and machinery.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to lift heavy parts, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.
